Iowa Amputee Golf Tournament
DES MOINES, Iowa -The Iowa Amputee Golf Association Golf Tournament is coming up in July. Cory Watson appeared on the Channel 13 News at Noon to talk about the tournament and how it is about more than just golf.
Iowa golfers are part of a growing movement to make golf an official sport in the Paralympics. The International Olympic Committee reinstated golf as an official Olympic sport for the 2016 games in Rio De Janerio.
The Iowa Amputee Golf Association was formed in 1992 to promote the love of the game of golf and fellowship among amputees.
